Who is Natalie Meagan & Why Should I Care?
There are a few new folks around here so I thought this would be a great time to say hello, welcome you and (re)introduce myself!
About a month ago, I noticed a large spike in followers on here and I have no idea where you came from, what you saw that made you want to stick around or what’s going on but it was a really cool thing and I am glad you’re here. Allow me to (re)introduce myself and help you settle in and find something fun to read, watch, enjoy!
The short answer to the title question “who is Natalie Meagan & why should I care” is this: no one in particular & you don’t have to :P but if you are here, then maybe you actually do want an answer to those questions so read on.
My name is Natalie Meagan, I’m a lifelong mood reader and professional yapper, artist and 30 something from Tennessee. I started sharing art content on Instagram in 2016 but pivoted to bookish content in 2022 and now, 3 years later, I am still reading and reviewing AND I’ve branched out.
What started as a bookish Tiktok is now my full time job via YouTube where I do deep dive reviews of some of the books I read along with the occasional reading list, monthly wrap up, discourse video or gameplay livestream.
My favorite genres are horror, morbid/weird non fiction and romance, the weirder the better. As for games, I have a deep love for Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Stardew Valley and Zelda but I am currently playing Raptor Boyfriend and eyeing Date Everything 👀
I also run a book club on Discord with my best friend which you can access through my Bindery page, Boneyard Picnic. I post more frequently and more consistently over there and you can join the “Ghoul” tier and get access to a bunch of stuff for free (including the book club) with updates sent right to your inbox! By joining that community, you will also get to support me in my journey towards becoming a publishing imprint through Bindery. I am working on a video explaining that whole process and the types of books I would be excited to publish under Boneyard Picnic so be on the look out for that!
I’m thrilled you’re here and I’d love to learn more about you, how you got here, what made you stick around, what kinds of things you are most excited to get from me, etc. so if you have a few minutes, please consider filling out my reader survey. Some of the questions are just for fun but others are to help me better understand and deliver things to you, my weird little audience. Thanks for being here and helping me out. See you in the next one!
